Junior Activities

developing our lifesavers of tomorrow

Junior activities, better known as ‘Nippers’, is an activity-based program designed to educate young children about surf safety and awareness. The Nipper program offers participants the opportunity to meet new friends whilst taking part in activities to develop skills in lifesaving, surf safety, surf sports, personal development and leadership.

The Nippers program is held in most surf clubs during the summer period on Sunday mornings. Contact your local club to get involved.

Youth Engagement

taping into the fututre of lifesaving

Our young people come to Surf Life Saving with drive, passion and a commitment to change for a brighter future for the Movement. It is important that Clubs work towards engaging young people so as to make the most of what they have to offer, and to ensure strong succession planning for the future of the Club.

The FSCB Youth Engagement Program (WAMBIRI) provides youth members with a structured engagement program to keep them motivated and involved in Surf Life Saving. The program also offers them the opportunity to explore and become involved in a range of areas within the movement which they may not have previously considered.

FSC Branch also support our youth in developing their passion for lifesaving in providing the opportunity for our U14 age members to represent themselves and our Branch at the SLSNSW run Junior Lifesaver of the Year Program (JLOTY)
